Characteristics and application :
Segment gates are determined for an operational and emergency cutting-off of material flow from hopper-outlet, silos and similar equipment. They are suitable to wide range of bulk and granular materials with grain size within the range 0 – 50 mm, in technological production lines of cement, lime, aggregates and similar products. Opening and closing is manually operated. It is impossible to connect this type of gates into another technolgical branch. The construction is inclinable to dusting.

Type range of double segment gates includes 2 sizes < 250 x 250 mm and 300 x 300 mm > . After technical-business discussion it is possible to order except these sizes a special type of construction.
Description of construction :
Segment gate has only inlet flange. Usually it has square section, at atypical design it has rectangular section (clear opening). The casing is welded from steel sheet and it is reinforced with strip steel. In the casing there are placed two cylindrical sectors, mounted on journals. Opening and closing is manual by means of a hand lever, which is mounted onto one cylindrical sector. Turning motion from one onto the second sector is transmissed through two couples of gearwheels.
Used material:
Construction – The casing is welded from steel plate and the reinforcement is made from strip steel - a normal steel (class 11 acc. CZ-Standard ČSN). In the casing there are placed on journals two turning cylindrical sectors. The shutting (cylindrical) sectors are made from a normal steel or – at abrasive transported materials - from a wear-resistant steel. Opening and closing is manually operated.
